01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Mugenya’s Iekei ramen seems made for enjoying with a bowl of white rice. Diners have shared their appreciation for dipping nori in the soup and eating it with rice, as well as for soup that makes them want another mouthful of rice. One option is to start with a regular ramen and add extra nori.

The chashu is another reason to choose a bowl. Some individual diners mention its smoky flavour, while others remember how juicy it was. The regular chashu ramen serves it alongside the noodles. For a larger portion, choose medium or large; for a different accent, add toppings such as spinach, cabbage or a soft-boiled egg.

There is also a regular ladies’ ramen for women and children only, offering a smaller option for those who prefer to eat less. Lunch and dinner menus are available, and dining in is possible.
